Preferences in your browser
Your theme, language, saved places, selected citizenship, manually chosen departure city and analytics choice are stored in your browser. A citizenship cookie also keeps passport-specific guide sections consistent. These preferences support the features you select. Citizenship is a country code; the site does not ask for your passport number. You can change preferences in the interface or remove them by clearing site data in your browser.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 starts only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Google Analytics is not loaded before consent. You can choose “No analytics” and continue selecting trips. With consent, the site measures page views and actions such as destination searches, guide openings and saved places. Google may use analytics cookies and receive technical browser and connection data, including an IP address.
Data in site events
The site sends the page path without its query string or fragment, language, action type, destination codes and a limited set of search parameters. Your selected citizenship value, coordinates, exact travel dates and arbitrary user-entered text are not included in site event parameters. Google Signals and advertising features are disabled in the site code.
Changing your choice
Your choice is saved in your browser. On the homepage and collections, open “Privacy”; in guides, use “Analytics settings” at the bottom of the page. The same choice buttons are available here. Withdrawing consent stops new site events but does not delete data already processed. Use your browser settings to remove stored cookies; contact us below with questions about processed data.
Departure city, Travelpayouts and Aviasales
The approximate departure city uses the host’s IP geolocation information; local development uses Travelpayouts instead. The site does not request precise device location. City searches send your query and language to Travelpayouts through the site server. Recent Aviasales fare requests through Travelpayouts contain city codes and the selected month or dates. These requests support trip-selection features and do not depend on Google Analytics consent. If you follow a flight link, the external provider processes data under its own rules.
Open-Meteo weather
When you open details for a domestic place, your browser requests current weather and climate averages from Open-Meteo. Requests contain the selected destination’s coordinates, not your device location. The provider also receives ordinary network request information. Weather responses may be cached in your browser: current data for about 30 minutes and climate data for 90 days.
Hosting, fonts and external links
Vercel hosting processes technical requests needed to deliver pages and run server functions. Your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts. These requests occur independently of analytics and disclose ordinary connection information, including an IP address, to the providers. Links to sources and other services are governed by those services’ own policies.
Affiliate links
Some links to Aviasales, Kiwi.com, Klook, Airalo and Saily are affiliate links. Choose My Route may earn a commission when you book or buy through these links. Travelpayouts and the selected service may process referrals to attribute affiliate rewards. Data processing after you follow a link is governed by the relevant services’ policies.
Storage and requests
Local preferences remain until you change them, clear site data or clear your browser. Google Analytics and other providers retain and process data according to service settings and their policies. For questions, corrections or deletion requests, contact obelisk.tweets-4k@icloud.com. Do not send passport numbers, payment details or other sensitive information. The update date identifies changes to this page.
