Air temperature and rainfall are rough monthly estimates, not a forecast for a particular resort.
| Destination | Air | Rain |
|---|---|---|
| Montenegro | 23°C | 100 mm |
| Albania | 23°C | 70 mm |
Rainfall is in mm per month. Check sea temperatures separately.
Start with Montenegro if your priority is the Bay of Kotor and a mountain extension in Durmitor. The national tourism organisation names September among the best months for visiting Durmitor. That supports a coast-and-mountains itinerary, but it is not a promise of suitable conditions on every trail: check local forecasts and trail access before leaving.
Start with Albania if you want to build a route around its Riviera or the Albanian Alps. The national tourism agency provides separate destination and itinerary sections for both. Choose your main region first, then check the time needed to connect it with arrival and departure points. Avoid treating a long list of distant places as a ready-made itinerary.
Compare the exact route, arrival airport, travel time between stops and accommodation on your dates. We do not have a live price comparison that establishes one country as cheaper. Entry rules depend on your passport and can change independently in the two countries; verify both if you plan to cross the border. Climate estimates below do not describe sea temperature or mountain conditions.
This is an editorial shortlist for the stated month, not a country ranking. Figures help compare climate estimates but do not establish conditions on every coast or route. Warm air does not mean a warm sea: check your exact location before swimming or hiking.
